Platinum Ingots can be used to create Platinum tools, which are similar to diamond ones in mining speed, but only have durability of 500 (700 in the case of the Paxel). The if the appropriate tool is used, a full set can can mine all ores, blocks, and machines except obsidian. The sword will always deal 4 hearts of damage, regardless of a critical hit or not.
