The Basic Circuit is an important component in many pieces of machinery. It can be upgraded into the Advanced Circuit.

Multiple Recipes in the game that involve the Basic Circuit will allow you to substitute it with a Control Circuit instead. Therefore allowing choices based upon the materials available at the time.
