Modular Forcefield System or MFFS for short adds force fields to the game of Minecraft. These force fields are an extension of Industrial Craft 2 and can be configured with an upgrade system. Force fields are indestructible and need force energy(FE) to function. In the current version force fields hurt any player who tries to break a force field block. Force fields also kill/damage players if the force field forms on the player.
Modular Force-Field System (or MFFS for short) is a very versatile mod that lets you create many different types of force-fields, with loads of options for you to customize. It is compatible with Universal Electricity, BuildCraft, and IndustrialCraft's energy system. It is also configurable to not use any power at all and be played with in vanilla. MFFS is most commonly used in SMP, but it certainly can be useful in SSP as well.

Basic setup
To see an example of how to set up a complete force-field system, see Beginner's Guide(MFFS).
To get started you'll need:
*Monazit Ore
*MFFS Capacitor
*MFFS Projector
*MFFS Extractor

When you find Monazit ore, which can be found near layer 20, you need to smelt it in a furnace or macerate it to get Forcicium.

Then you will need to extract the energy from the Raw Forcicium with a MFFS Extractor, which must be powered with UE or IC2 electricity, then you connect the Extractor to a MFFS Capacitor with a Blank MFFS Card. You can do this by first right-clicking on the Capacitor then right-clicking the Extractor. Put some Raw Forcicium into the Extractor and power it, it will then begin to convert Raw Forcicium to Force Energy.
Things to note
* MFFS v3 does not have any world generation or ores.
To actually make a force field place down a MFFS Projector and connect it to the Capacitor. Then place a Projector Module into the red slot, and power it with redstone. Volia! You now have your own basic force field system.

A Complete Guide Can Be Found Here

Things to note
* If you think you know how to use MFFS, check again! Many things have changed in the latest update.
* Force Fields are only currently effected by Nukes (complete destruction) and EMPs (drains power from Capacitors).
